Machobear Studios is an established tech start-up based in Vancouver. We are the creators of , an all-in-one platform that connects tenants with landlords. In addition to developing and maintaining our platform, we work on a variety of exciting projects for our clients within the real estate and food industries, providing innovative tech solutions that meet their unique needs. 

We are currently on the lookout for a skilled senior Full Stack Developer who brings a strong technical background with a focus on front-end development, and a passion for building high-performing, scalable applications.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and customize high performing enterprise web and mobile applications 
  • Architect, design, and implement robust full-stack solutions for web and mobile platforms, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability 
  • Own technical decisions end to end, from system design to deployment
  • Drive technical excellence through code reviews, setting code standards, and mentoring peers
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical strategy with business objectives 
  • Lead evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies to improve development velocity and maintainability
  • Participate in planning session to contribute technical insights and recommendations 
  • Promote code refactoring initiatives to improve code quality, readability, and maintainability
  • Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle 
  • What You Bring to Us:

  • 6+ years of experience in a software development role
  • BSc in Computer Science, BASc in Computer/Software Engineering, or a diploma/certificate in computing or software development 
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases
  • Strong understanding of back-end frameworks 
  • Experience in designing CI/CD pipelines and managing production deployments 
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes 
  • Knowledge of modern build tools such as Webpack, Vite, or similar 
  • Experience ReactJS and React Native
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript 
  • Worked with MySQL/MariaDB, NodeJS, AWS
  • Experience working within existing design systems with a strong understanding of accessibility 
  • Knowledge of state management libraries including Redux, Zustand, or Context API
  • Experience maintaining projects in Git versioning systems
  • Proficient in optimizing and debugging code
  • Comprehensive understanding of automated testing frameworks and methodologies 
  • Experience with analyzing and optimizing page performance and load times
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum processes
  • Familiarity with design patterns, programming principals and it's applications
