This is a collaborative role and candidate will be working alongside another developer to split up workload and discuss ideas with. Candidate must be comfortable working on a team and collaborating seamlessly with teams outside of development.
Understanding bandwidth and CDN optimization is a must. Familiarity and experience in similar platforms is a plus. This is a large project, however with the right developers it will come together smoothly. This project is not for inexperienced developers as it is a large platform that will store a large amount of files that will all need to be displayed correctly.
Ideal candidate will need proven experience in working on a platform where media is uploaded by users, and translated for public viewing
Strong communication skills and the ability to take constructive criticism is necessary. A lot of work and strategic planning has gone into this project and everything is in place for a reason, with that, all criticism will always be provided with clear reasoning.
This is a site that is meant to be high-traffic at a fully functional level. This is not just a landing page, but a multi-page website consisting of many functions and that is the main source of income to the company.
You will be provided with a comprehensive overview of the business and website, along with the user flow for the site. We expect you to be honest with your abilities and time before committing or applying to this role.
