Amazon Canada's Hardlines team is seeking a self-driven Vendor Manager candidate. Vendor managers work directly with vendors to improve value, selection and convenience for customers across their business. They play a critical role in managing strategic and established brands to drive profitability and topline performance for their category.

The candidate will use customer obsession and analytics to inform creative solutions to drive their business. The Vendor Manager will have the opportunity to engage with multiple internal teams to optimize product line performance for key manufacturers (vendors) on They will utilize strong communication skills to collaborate with internal cross-functional partners, such as site merchandising, buying, pricing, inventory management, operations, online marketing, and finance to drive performance for our vendor partners.
This position provides the candidate an opportunity to execute analytical deeps dives that help inform category growth strategies and initiatives. In addition to gaining vendor management experience, this candidate will have exposure in driving category growth. Vendor Managers get the unique opportunity to work at the most innovative online retailer, while developing strong functional skills in online merchandising/marketing, buying, planning/forecasting, pricing, and business analytics.
Key job responsibilities
This role is responsible for leading key categories and brand relationships in Wireless for and driving growth of the business. It includes building strong vendor and brand relationships, contract negotiations, selection and catalog, inventory optimization, forecast generation, product launches, pricing, and conducting detailed analysis to identify opportunities to drive growth for the vendor and As the P&L owner, you will also work cross functionally with other product, marketing, and operations teams across Amazon to raise the bar on customer experience.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience
4+ years of doing one of several roles: quantitative/financial analysis, retail buying, retail planning & allocation, product/project management, pricing, marketing or e-commerce experience
Bachelor's degree
Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration
Experience with presentation, organization, and account/vendor management is preferred
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of doing one of several roles: management consulting, investment banking analyst/associate, or brand manager role at leading consumer packaged goods company experience
Experience in financial analysis, retail buying, retail planning & allocation, product/project management, marketing, business development, consulting, negotiation or supply chain

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
