About
Join our Atlanta, Georgia team as an Order Picker and play a crucial role in our dynamic distribution center! This position is essential for ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently fulfilled, contributing directly to our supply chain success and customer satisfaction. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for navigating our warehouse to locate and retrieve specified items for customer orders, using RF scanners or pick sheets. Your accuracy in selecting the correct products and quantities is paramount. You will handle merchandise carefully to prevent damage and prepare picked items for the subsequent stages of processing, such as packing or staging for shipment. Safety is a top priority in our operations, and all employees are expected to adhere rigorously to safety protocols and utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. This role is physically demanding, requiring extended periods of standing and walking, as well as regular lifting. Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is advantageous, but we provide comprehensive training for enthusiastic individuals with a strong work ethic and a desire to excel in the logistics industry. You'll be part of a collaborative team, working together to meet daily picking quotas and maintain high accuracy rates. Responsibilities:
- Accurately retrieve products from warehouse locations based on order requirements.
- Use RF scanners or paper pick lists to identify and locate items.
- Verify product identification and quantities for each order.
- Handle all merchandise carefully to prevent damage or loss.
- Stage picked items appropriately for packing or further processing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Strictly adhere to all safety regulations and wear required PPE.
- Participate in inventory control activities, including cycle counts.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve productivity goals.
- Operate manual warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Report any issues, discrepancies, or safety concerns promptly.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the distribution center.
- Follow all established operational procedures for order picking.
