About
Are you an experienced Forklift Operator looking for a new opportunity in Richmond, Virginia? We are hiring skilled individuals to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment within our busy warehouse. This role is critical to the efficient movement of goods, supporting our extensive logistics operations. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory, and staging materials for various warehouse processes. A strong emphasis on Safety and operational excellence is required. The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift certification and a proven track record of safe operation. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Stack and arrange inventory in a stable and organized manner.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklift equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or damage immediately.
- Follow all Safety regulations, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and location verification.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics department.
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting and physical tasks as needed.
- Good spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Experience with RF scanners is a plus.
- Understanding of inventory control principles and logistics workflows.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment for all.
