Are you a detail-oriented individual with a knack for speed and accuracy? We are looking for a dedicated Order Picker to join our bustling logistics hub in Chicago, Illinois. This role is vital for ensuring our customers receive their orders promptly and correctly. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for efficiently locating and retrieving products from warehouse shelves, preparing them for shipment. This involves utilizing scanning technology and following precise picking lists. Your ability to work independently while maintaining high productivity standards is key to success in this position. Responsibilities:
- Receive picking orders via handheld scanner or pick sheet.
- Accurately locate and retrieve specified items from warehouse shelves.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Package items securely for shipment, using appropriate materials.
- Transport picked items to the packing or shipping station.
- Maintain productivity levels to meet daily picking quotas.
- Keep picking areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to a supervisor immediately.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks as needed.
- Contribute to overall warehouse efficiency and order fulfillment success.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse environment is advantageous.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods.
- Capacity for lifting items up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Familiarity with scanning devices and order management systems is a plus.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Must wear required PPE , including safety shoes and vests.
- Understanding of basic warehouse Safety procedures.
- Passion for contributing to smooth logistics operations.
