About
We are seeking a dependable and physically capable Material Handler to join our dynamic warehouse team in Austin, Texas. This role is fundamental to the movement of goods within our facility, ensuring that materials are transferred efficiently and safely from receiving to storage, and from storage to shipping. You will operate various types of equipment and be responsible for the overall organization and flow of materials. A strong commitment to safety, including the proper use of PPE and adherence to safe lifting practices, is essential. This position plays a vital part in our comprehensive logistics network.Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading materials from trucks and containers.
- Moving materials within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Transporting goods to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Receiving and verifying incoming shipments.
- Assisting with inventory control and cycle counting.
- Organizing and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Following all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Performing routine checks and basic maintenance on warehouse equipment.
- Identifying and reporting any damaged materials or equipment malfunctions.
- Supporting shipping and receiving operations as needed.
- Adhering to safe lifting techniques for various types of materials.
- Ensuring efficient material flow to support overall logistics objectives.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is required.
- Valid forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, and lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Knowledge of safety regulations and commitment to using PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
