About
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Receiving Clerk for our busy warehouse in Boston, Massachusetts. This role is fundamental to our logistics process, ensuring that all incoming goods are accurately received, inspected, documented, and stored. You will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, playing a crucial role in inventory management and maintaining the integrity of our supply chain. A strong focus on accuracy and adherence to safety protocols is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Inspect goods for damage and verify against purchase orders and invoices.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Label and stage received goods for efficient put-away.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or damages to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and wear required PPE.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as needed.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth logistics flow.
- Operate forklifts or pallet jacks as required for material handling.
Requirements:
Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs. Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or warehouse operations is required. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and inspection. Familiarity with logistics and supply chain principles. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE. Basic computer proficiency. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
