About
Join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio, as a Receiving Clerk and play a pivotal role in our warehouse operations. This position is responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming shipments. You will be the first point of contact for deliveries, ensuring that all goods are received, inspected, and documented correctly. Your daily tasks will include unloading trucks, verifying deliveries against purchase orders, inspecting products for any damage, and accurately entering data into our inventory management system. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, and all employees are required to adhere to strict safety protocols and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). This role requires physical stamina, as you will be involved in manual handling and lifting of goods. Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail are essential to minimize errors and maintain inventory accuracy within our logistics network. You will work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless integration of received goods into our stock. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Verify received goods against invoices and purchase orders.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
- Accurately record all received items in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Organize and maintain the receiving area in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Stage items for internal distribution or put-away.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safe lifting techniques.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (training available).
- Collaborate with inventory control and other warehouse teams.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving or warehouse operations is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with computer systems and data entry.
- Ability to perform lifting and moving of packages up to 60 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Understanding of basic logistics concepts.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team or independently.
