Job Summary:
Our Baltimore, Maryland facility seeks a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our operational team. This role is vital for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficient flow of our inventory. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining inventory control procedures, minimizing discrepancies, and optimizing stock levels.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and manage inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Conduct regular audits, cycle counts, and physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Analyze inventory data and generate reports on stock levels, turnover, and valuation.
  • Manage stock rotation (e.g., FIFO/LIFO) to minimize obsolescence and spoilage.
  • Oversee the receiving and put-away process to ensure proper identification and storage.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, sales, and operations teams to forecast inventory needs and optimize stock levels.
  • Maintain the integrity of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) concerning inventory data.
  • Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and company policies related to inventory handling.
  • Propose and implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, management, or a related role.
  • In-depth knowledge of inventory control techniques, WMS, and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Understanding of warehouse Logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 40 lbs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to procedures.
  • Willingness to wear required PPE , such as safety glasses and gloves.
