Our dynamic logistics hub in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our team. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy, quality, and proper documentation. Your responsibilities will include unloading trucks, verifying contents against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and accurately stocking inventory. We are looking for individuals who are organized, reliable, and possess excellent attention to detail. The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment is essential. Prior experience in a receiving or warehouse role is advantageous, but a strong commitment to learning and contributing is highly valued. This position involves physical tasks, including moderate Lifting and moving of goods. A rigorous commitment to Safety procedures and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE ) is a requirement. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks and trailers.
- Verify received goods against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect incoming inventory for damage or defects.
- Accurately record received goods into the inventory management system.
- Stock received items in designated warehouse locations.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues to supervisors promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and wear required PPE .
- Support the overall Logistics department's efficiency and accuracy.
