Protect American Interests as a Customs and Border Protection Officer

This position is part of the Department of Homeland Security workforce, protecting American interests and securing our nation.

• The successful candidate will be responsible for enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations to ensure compliance with U.S. trade policies.


• You will work closely with colleagues to facilitate legitimate trade and travel while preventing illicit activity.


• A CBPO must conduct inspections of individuals and conveyances using proper law enforcement methods.

The typical assignments include enforcing laws related to importing/exporting merchandise; utilizing intelligence techniques/behavior analysis; conducting interviews in a law enforcement capacity; making rapid judgments/decisions regarding application/enforcement/administration of relevant regulations/procedures/instructions/policies.
