About This Job

CBP is seeking highly skilled professionals to join our team as a Customs and Border Protection Officer. As a CBPO, you will play a critical role in safeguarding America's borders, enforcing customs laws, and ensuring national security.


Responsibilities
    • Enforce Laws: Detain suspected violators of federal laws and/or arrest them using proper law enforcement methods.• • Facilitate Trade: Implement regulations relating to importing/exporting merchandise from/to the U.S., facilitating legitimate trade while preventing smuggling activities.• • Intelligence Gathering: Use intelligence techniques/behavior analysis to identify potential threats & perform risk assessments for law violations/national security breaches.• ‣ Conduct interviews in law enforcement capacity to gain information on suspects determining appropriate action.

  • The position requires minimum 1 year of experience equivalent at least next lower grade level detaining/arresting violators implementing trade regulations utilizing intelligence gathering skills conducting interviews
  • A Master's Degree or higher OR successfully completed graduate-level education leading an accredited college/university degree LL.B/J.D.
