About
The role of a Border Security Specialist involves detecting and apprehending individuals suspected of violating immigration laws. This requires a high level of situational awareness, as the agents must remain vigilant in order to effectively analyze rapidly changing situations.
- Surveillance: Conduct surveillance operations at or near borders to detect suspects.
- Document Inspection: Inspect documents and possessions for signs of suspicious activity.
The successful candidate will have strong judgment skills, enabling them to make effective decisions in high-pressure situations. They will also be able to communicate complex information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
Duties may include maintaining contact networks with informants, gathering intelligence on potential threats, and working closely with other law enforcement agencies to share information and coordinate efforts.
