This role is responsible for protecting the American people by safeguarding our borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing the nation's economic prosperity.
Job Description
- Detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws and inspecting documents to determine citizenship or violations.
- Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers at or near the borders using surveillance techniques.
- Interpreting tracks, marks, and other physical evidence of illegal entry of persons or contraband.
- Performing farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, and transportation checks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
The position requires one (1) year of general work experience that demonstrates ability to take charge in stressful situations. Alternatively,
an associate’s degree is required with coursework in a field such as criminal justice or law enforcement.
or prior military service can also be considered with an honorable discharge.
