Border Security Specialist

The United States Border Patrol (USBP) is hiring for the position of Entry Level Border Patrol Agent. This role involves working in a federal law enforcement capacity, with primary responsibilities including detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws, inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations, and apprehending undocumented noncitizens at or near borders.

• Conduct surveillance from covert positions using infrared scopes during night operations
• Interpret and follow tracks, marks, and other physical evidence of illegal entry
• Perform farm checks, building checks, traffic checks city patrols transportation checks

• You qualify for the GL-5 grade level if you possess one year general work experience that demonstrates ability take charge make sound decisions maintain composure stressful situations; OR education substitution bachelor's degree four-year course study leading bachelor's degree accredited college university;

• You qualify for the GL-7 grade level if you possess one year specialized work experience shows skills necessary to make sound judgments decisions use firearms deal effectively people courteous manner connection law enforcement matters analyze information rapidly prompt decisions apply these skills law enforcement capacity criminal code enforcement determining violation laws correctional rehabilitation work involving criminal offenders security military etc.
