About
Border Patrol Agents play a critical role in safeguarding our nation's borders and enforcing immigration laws. As part of the Federal Law Enforcement profession, Border Patrol Agents are responsible for detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating these laws.
- Detecting and inspecting documents to determine citizenship or violations
- Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens at or near the borders by maintaining surveillance from covert positions
To be eligible for this position, applicants must meet one of the following qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement OR
one full year of graduate-level education in a field related to law enforcement;OR
A Combination of Experience and Education: This will be calculated using your resume and official transcripts submitted with your application.
p>This position offers competitive pay rates ranging from $51,632 - $92,219 per year. Additionally, agents may qualify for up to an additional 25% higher locality pay depending on their assigned duty location.
The ability to speak Spanish is highly beneficial for this role as it enables effective communication with diverse communities. Training will be provided at no cost to become proficient in speaking Spanish.
