Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Carpenter Apprentice to join our construction team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in various aspects of carpentry and construction projects, providing a valuable foundation for a career in the trades. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, a great attitude, and an interest in developing skills across multiple areas of construction and woodworking.
Duties
- Assist experienced carpenters with building, installing, and repairing structures using hand tools and power tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to understand project requirements.
- Participate in framing, siding, interior finish, and other duties as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols, safety equipment, and proper tool handling.
- Assist with heavy lifting and material movement around job sites.
- Be punctual, respectful, and responsible.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of construction principles and familiarity with hand tools and power tools.
- Hands-on experience with framing, interior finish, and exterior finish is desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights or on scaffolding, as required. Working from heights qualification is a requirement.
- Own a vehicle and driver's license in order to commute daily to various sites in Muskoka.
- Strong attention to detail with good problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Willingness to learn new skills across various trades within the construction industry.

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
