About
We deploy base stations across large rural properties and need precise modeling to demonstrate real-world performance. You will use RF planning tools (including RF Cloud) to simulate and validate coverage based on known parameters.
You will:
Use provided GPS coordinates and property boundary files to model coverage
Analyse terrain, elevation, and obstructions
Recommend ideal central base station locations
Simulate signal propagation and expected performance
Generate clear, farmer-friendly visual coverage maps
Identify weak spots and mitigation strategies (height adjustments, antenna selection, secondary nodes)
Validate installation height recommendations
Support pre-sales and deployment planning with defensible technical outputs
Deliverables include:
Coverage maps with clear legend and signal strength overlays
Recommended base station placement coordinates
Assumptions and parameters used in modelling
Simple explanatory notes suitable for non-technical audiences
Success in this role means:
Farmers can visually see expected coverage across their property
Sales conversations shift from "will it work?" to "where do we install?"
Installations are optimised before hardware arrives on-site
Coverage gaps are identified and mitigated early
You are not just generating maps — you are building technical credibility in environments where trust must be earned.
Section 1: Who We Are
We are a Sydney-based IoT engineering powerhouse. We are currently in a high-velocity growth phase, ruthlessly integrating AI and automation into our core operations to scale. We move fast, we skip fluff, and we value clinical execution.
Section 2: The Engagement

Section 3: The ""Superhuman"" Standard
We have a strong preference for 'Superhuman' candidates—those who leverage AI and automation to deliver 10x output compared to manual operators.
Non-Negotiable Deliverable: For every task, you must produce a 1-page 'Tech Sheet.' This document must list the specific tools, methods, and logic used so that the product can be maintained internally once handed off.""
Section 4: Collaboration & Definition of Done
You will be integrated into our wider team and may collaborate with other specialized Upworkers. Communication occurs via a shared Slack environment.
Every task is governed by a strict 'Definition of Done' (DoD). You will be asked to demonstrate 'Done' according to these criteria. Your work will be tested at multiple levels by our internal team; if it does not meet our clinical standards, it will be handed back for revisions until it is flawless. If you thrive on accountability and speed, apply below.
