Border Control Specialist

This role is a career progression position with advancement from GL-5 to GS-12.

• Main duties include detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws; inspecting documents and possessions; conducting farm checks, building checks, traffic stops, city patrols, transportation inspections;

The successful candidate will undergo firearms training before being responsible for making apprehensions. Upon completion they will also be expected to analyze information quickly while making prompt decisions regarding critical law enforcement matters such as determining violations or criminal offenses.
