Description Hi there, we're Article.   Since 2013, we have been redefining the furniture industry one sofa at a time, it's not easy — it requires solving challenging, meaningful problems. This is where you come in, as our Retail Operations & Field Specialist, you'll help ensure our new retail stores are operationally ready, aligned, and set up to deliver a seamless customer and team experience.

In Retail Operations, this role supports new store openings, operational rollouts, and continuous improvements across locations. This fits into our larger goal of building resilient, scalable retail operations that support growth across Canada and the United States.
Within your first few months, you'll support an upcoming store launch and help streamline key operational tools or processes. In a year, you'll be proud to say you've helped multiple stores open successfully and improved how our retail operations run day to day.

About the Retail Operations Team:
The Retail Operations team partners closely with Store Managers and cross-functional teams across HQ. We focus on execution, operational readiness, and building systems that support store teams. We take our work seriously, but not ourselves. Together, we're relentless in solving problems that help our retail teams succeed.
We are a hybrid team — you'll be in the Vancouver HQ office or working in stores at least 3 days per week.  This role also includes travel to retail locations across Canada and the United States to support store openings and operational initiatives.
What You'll Do You'll be part of the Retail Operations team, working cross-functionally to support store execution and readiness.
  • Support operational readiness for new store openings and major refreshes
  • Own and coordinate cross-functional launch deliverables such as supplies, technology, and operational tools
  • Travel to store locations during pre-opening and launch periods to provide hands-on support
  • Ensure stores have the systems, tools, and resources needed to operate effectively
  • Partner with internal teams to improve workflows, documentation, and store-facing processes
  • Coordinate ordering, tracking, and distribution of store supplies and operational materials
  • Monitor supply levels and support accurate inventory tracking across locations
  • Act as a liaison between Store Leadership and internal partners to align timelines and expectations
  • Track action items, flag risks or delays, and provide clear status updates to stakeholders
  • Support reporting, documentation, and operational process coordination

Who You Are Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in retail operations, field operations, store support, or multi-unit retail environments
  • Experience supporting store openings, operational rollouts, or cross-functional initiatives
Technical Skills:
  • Strong operational mindset with a focus on execution and problem-solving
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to identify gaps and drive follow-through across stakeholders
  • Clear communicator who can influence and support frontline leaders
Tools We Use:
  • Proficient in G-suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
  • Comfortable using operational trackers and task management tools
Ways of Working:
  • Resilient and adaptable when plans shift or timelines change
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a hybrid HQ and field-based role
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in flagging risks or delays
Additional Requirements:
  • Legally able to work in Canada
  • Completion of a criminal background check
  • Valid passport and ability to travel throughout Canada and the United States to support store openings and operational initiatives
