Location: Montreal, QC (Hybrid – 4 days onsite, Monday–Thursday)
Duration: 12-Month Contract (Extension Possible)
Start Date: March 2026
Positions Available: 3
Rate: $52–$63/hour (T4) - Depending on experience
Language Requirement: Bilingual – French & English
Security & Eligibility Requirements
This role supports a federal program. Candidates must be Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents and must have resided in Canada for a minimum of five (5) consecutive years to meet security clearance eligibility requirements.
Role Overview
We are seeking experienced Python Test Software Developers to design, develop, test, integrate, and deploy Windows-based test software used in the validation of advanced hardware systems.
This role focuses on developing software to automate testing of complex hardware components within a hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, debug, and document high-quality test software applications
Develop and maintain Windows-based Python applications for automated hardware testing
Create and modify software for engineering ground support equipment (EGSE)
Interpret detailed technical requirement documentation
Provide work estimates and drive tasks to completion
Collaborate within an Agile development environment
Support software integration, testing, and deployment activities
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production and lab environments
Work with and enhance existing codebases
Required Qualifications
University degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of experience in test software development
Strong proficiency in Python (C++ knowledge also required)
Experience with embedded systems and hardware-in-the-loop testing
Knowledge of multi-threading, data sharing, and APIs
Experience working in Agile development environments
Strong written and verbal communication skills (French and English preferred)
