Job Summary The Intermediate Embodied Carbon Modeler supports the delivery of whole-building life cycle assessments (LCAs) and embodied carbon analyses for new construction and retrofit projects across a range of building types. The role involves developing and managing LCA models using industry-standard tools and databases, interpreting drawings and specifications to quantify material quantities, and collaborating with project teams to evaluate low-carbon design strategies. The Intermediate Modeler is expected to work independently on assigned tasks, contribute to client deliverables, and ensure alignment with relevant standards while continuing to deepen technical expertise in embodied carbon accounting, data quality, and reporting.Responsibilities & Qualifications

Key Accountabilities

  • Production and interpretation of whole building life cycle assessments.

  • Development of communication materials and presentations.

  • Collaboration with project team members to develop and implement embodied carbon reduction strategies.

Knowledge

  • Good knowledge of embodied carbon tools and methodologies, including OneClick LCA, Athena Impact Estimator, EC3, and LCA standards such as EN 15978, EN 15804, ISO 21930, ISO 14040, ISO 14044, and ISO 14025

  • Detailed knowledge of building components, including envelope assemblies, structural systems, and basic MEP

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel tools and data processing, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, and graph/chart development

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam

Qualifications and Experience

  • 2-3 years embodied carbon modeling experience

  • Experience submitting compliance-related embodied carbon models such as LEED, TGS, Vancouver Building By-Law, Green Government.

  • Post secondary micro-credentials or other institutional training would be beneficial.

Additional Information

Introba is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $75,000-85,000 annually for this position and local market.
