• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers at or near the borders through surveillance from covert positions using infrared scopes during night operations.
• Interpreting tracks, marks, and other physical evidence related to illegal entry by persons or contraband.
• Conducting farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, transportation checks among others tasks assigned within the USBP mission scope
