About the role

The Cloud Architect leads the design, governance, and delivery of the organization's cloud ecosystem.

This role ensures cloud solutions are secure, scalable, cost-effective, and aligned with business objectives. Working cross-functionally with IT, security, engineering, and business stakeholders, the Cloud Architect drives cloud adoption, modernization, and operational excellence across the enterprise.

What You'll Do

Cloud Architecture & Design:

  • Develop end‑to‑end cloud architectures that meet business, security, and operational requirements
  • Design scalable, resilient, and cost‑optimized cloud solutions
  • Define cloud patterns, standards, and reference architectures
  • Evaluate and select cloud services, tools, and platforms

Cloud Governance & Security:

  • Establish governance frameworks, guardrails, and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with the infrastructure team to develop & implement an interconnectivity strategy
  • Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to implement identity, access, and data protection controls
  • Conduct architecture reviews and risk assessments

Cloud Implementation & Delivery

  • Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives
  • Support DevOps and engineering teams in deploying cloud workloads
  • Optimize cloud environments for performance, reliability, and cost
  • Troubleshoot complex cloud issues and guide root‑cause analysis

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business and technical stakeholders
  • Provide technical leadership to development, operations, and project teams
  • Mentor engineers and promote cloud best practices across the organization
  • Contribute to strategic planning and cloud roadmap development

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture or senior cloud architect roles
  • Expertise with at least one major cloud provider (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Strong knowledge of networking, security, identity, and infrastructureascode
  • Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Excellent communication and stakeholdermanagement skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cloud architect certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Google Professional Cloud Architect)
  • Experience with hybrid cloud and on‑premises integration
  • Knowledge of FinOps and cloud cost‑management practices
  • Background in enterprise architecture or solution architecture
