Server/Host/Hostess

Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Server/Host/Hostess. Duties

• Greet guests warmly and manage reservations using OpenTable or similar POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS
• Seat guests promptly and assist with table assignments, ensuring smooth flow of service
• Take customer orders accurately, utilizing POS systems for food and beverage entry
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
• Serve food and beverages with professionalism, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
• Clear tables efficiently, bussing dishes and maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
• Provide exceptional guest service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and fostering guest relations
• Assist in food preparation or kitchen support as needed during busy periods or special events such as nightclub nights
• Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, daily specials, and restaurant policies to inform guests effectively

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a server, host/hostess, or in food service preferred; hospitality or restaurant experience highly valued
• Familiarity with POS systems such as ligthspeed POS, OpenTable is advantageous
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional attitude
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables and tasks efficiently
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest satisfaction and sales revenue
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy
• Experience working in fine dining environments or nightclubs is a plus
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights; prior restaurant or food industry experience preferred but not required

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $17.20 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
