Sales Associate

Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team at Needs Convenience. The ideal candidate enjoys helping others, takes pride in maintaining a clean and organized store, and provides friendly, efficient service to every guest. As a Sales Associate, you'll support day-to-day operations in our convenience store, fuel station, and car wash, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and positive experience for customers.

Duties

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and assisting with purchases, fuel, and car wash transactions
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately, including cash, debit, credit, and lottery sales
• Maintain stock levels by restocking shelves, coolers, and supplies as needed
• Keep the store, forecourt, and car wash areas clean and safe at all times
• Follow company policies and legal requirements for tobacco, lottery, and age-restricted products
• Perform light cleaning and maintenance tasks, including garbage removal and car wash bay checks
• Monitor fuel pumps for safety and report any spills or equipment issues promptly
• Assist with inventory, deliveries, and merchandising to ensure the store is organized and visually appealing
• Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain a positive, professional environment

Experience

• Previous experience in retail, gas station, or customer service roles is an asset (training provided)
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable handling cash and performing basic math
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
