Summary:

Reporting to the Financial Department manager, the Accountant supports all aspects of centralized operations revenue and cost accounting. The incumbent is responsible for supporting the month end accounting procedures and deadlines to ensure delivery of clear, accurate, consistent and relevant financial information on a timely basis. He or she will assist with the preparation of the operations balance sheet providing contestability into the numbers and adherence to procedures & policies and internal controls. The incumbent possesses strong communication skills to complement their proficient technical skills. Accountant will help establish and maintain long-term collaborative stakeholder relationships. He or she acts as a trusted personality and key contributor with the Operations and Company Finance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for preparation of period-end journal entries and associated working papers in accounting software, providing training as needed.

  • Support the operations balance sheet reconciliation and analysis including WIP, AR, AP and holdbacks

  • Assist in preparing year-end audit working papers for external auditors

  • Adhere to procedures, policies, internal controls, and external financial accounting standards.

  • Timely and accurately declare taxes in accordance with local tax laws with the support of tax agency.

  • Conduct comprehensive annual and monthly budget,as well as budget execution analysis.

  • Contributes to the ongoing development of systems and processes, identifies improvement opportunities, and develops actionable solutions.

  • Understand the needs of the internal stakeholders in the business. Provide financial information to the business to make relevant timely decisions.

  • Support the embedding of financial competency into the business. Collaborates with key operations and Beijing Headquarter internal groups.

  • Regularly and competently presents information/reports to superior manager.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Some working knowledge of SAP is an asset

  • Deadline and detailed oriented

  • Demonstrates strong English&Mandarin verbal and written communication skills
