Key Responsibilities

The role focuses on IT asset lifecycle, device operations, logistics, vendor coordination, documentation, and process compliance. Main responsibilities include:

  • IT Asset & Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate, real-time inventory of IT assets (laptops, desktops, peripherals).

  • Perform regular physical audits and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Track asset tags, serial numbers, and assess device condition.

  • Internal Device Operations

  • Issue equipment to employees (new hires, replacements, refreshes).

  • Receive returned equipment and validate condition and completeness.
  • Coordinate refreshes and swaps; maintain handover records.

  • Customer Device Logistics

  • Prepare, ship, and track equipment to customer locations.

  • Receive customer returns and update inventory.
  • Coordinate timelines with service desk and account teams and provide status reports to customers.

  • Vendor & Distributor Coordination

  • Receive and validate shipments against purchase orders and delivery notes.

  • Follow up on backorders and discrepancies; manage warranty/RMA processes.

  • Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records in ITSM/CMDB/inventory systems.

  • Generate inventory reports and support audits with documentation.

  • Process & Compliance

  • Follow SOPs for asset handling, storage, and shipping.

  • Ensure secure handling of devices containing company or customer data.
  • Identify process gaps and propose workflow improvements.

Required Skills & Experience
Technical & Operational Skills

  • 3โ€“6 years of experience in IT asset management or warehouse operations.
  • Experience with inventory systems and CMDB/ITSM tools.
  • Familiarity with shipping, logistics, and courier coordination.
  • Comfortable handling serial numbers, asset tags, and audit records.
  • Warehouse and inventory management experience preferred.

Soft Skills

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proactive ownership and initiative.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate as needed.
