Job Purpose:
The Regional Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of multiple location and ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting. Acting as a business partner to operational leadership, the Regional Controller drives financial performance, ensures compliance, and supports strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Reporting
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes for all assigned locations.
Review and analyze financial results with operational partners and provide insights to VP Finance and other executives.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, management reports, and forecasts.
Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
Team Leadership & Development
Manage a small finance team.
Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to team members.
Promote a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Business Partnering & Operational Support
Collaborate closely with operational partners to understand business performance and provide financial guidance.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure planning across multiple locations.
Drive financial process improvements to ensure controls, compliance, and efficiency.
Compliance & Controls
Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate audits and respond to inquiries from external auditors.
Qualifications:
CPA designation is required.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
Experience managing finance for multiple locations and leading small teams.
Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence non-financial leaders.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
