Design Engineer Modular Manningtree £40,000 - £50,000 Full Time, Permanent
We are working with a growing specialist in modular healthcare facilities, delivering purpose-built clinical environments across the UK and internationally.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to support the delivery and development of their mobile healthcare fleet.
As Design Engineer, you will support the Mobile Technical Manager in delivering technical design work across mobile units. This is a hands-on role focused on structural and MEP design modifications, preparing detailed technical documentation, and ensuring all units meet stringent healthcare regulations and operational requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
Developing, modifying and detailing structural and MEP components for mobile healthcare units Producing and updating 2D and 3D drawings Supporting design solutions relating to ventilation, water systems and medical gases Contributing to design reviews and verifying compliance with healthcare standards Maintaining drawing registers and supporting change-control processes Ensuring all design work aligns with HTM guidelines and relevant healthcare regulations We are looking for:
Proven experience as a Design Engineer or CAD Engineer Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks Strong understanding of MEP systems, particularly ventilation, plumbing and medical gases Engineering background (mechanical, building services, manufacturing or similar) Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasksBenefits include:
