About
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – IT Risk & Financial Systems to lead complex technology initiatives focused on IT risk management, financial controls, budgeting, reporting, reconciliation, and AI-enabled solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of project management expertise, financial acumen, and technology risk experience, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end delivery of IT initiatives related to IT Risk, Financial Systems, and Regulatory programs
Manage project budgets, forecasts, financial tracking, and cost controls
Oversee financial reporting, reconciliations, and control frameworks to ensure accuracy and compliance
Identify, assess, and mitigate IT and operational risks throughout the project lifecycle
Drive project governance, including status reporting, RAID logs, executive dashboards, and steering committee updates
Partner with Finance, Risk, Audit, Technology, and Business stakeholders
Leverage AI and automation tools to enhance reporting, risk monitoring, forecasting, and operational efficiency
Ensure projects comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards
Manage vendors and third-party partners, including contracts and deliverables
Required Skills & Qualifications
8+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager, preferably in financial services
Strong experience in IT Risk Management, controls, and governance
Proven expertise in budgeting, financial reporting, forecasting, and reconciliation
Solid understanding of financial systems and data flows
Experience applying AI, analytics, or automation in project delivery or financial/risk use cases
Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills
Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall delivery methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in banking, capital markets, or regulated environments
PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification
Knowledge of regulatory and audit frameworks (e.g., SOX, OSFI, internal audit)
Experience with enterprise reporting tools and financial platforms
Exposure to data platforms, cloud, or AI/ML-enabled solutions
