Groundworks is seeking a talented HR Generalist to join our tribe in Dallas, Texas
The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting the Central field region. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving key HR functions, fostering employee engagement, and building a collaborative culture. Your responsibilities will include assisting leaders with performance management, leadership coaching, SOP and Job Aid creation, and employee relations. You will also partner closely with HR leaders, contribute to culture and communication initiatives, and support engagement and retention strategies. Experience with HRIS systems, particularly Workday, and HR transaction support is essential for success in this role.
Duties And Responsibilities
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of HRIS transactions while maintaining data integrity.
Leverage Workday to process HR transactions, including employee data changes, position management and onboarding workflows.
Offer Letter review and execution in partnership with Sr. Director, HRBP and Talent Acquisition
Conduct exit interviews, analyze trends, and provide actionable insights to leadership to address potential challenges. Provide roll up reporting to help HR leadership identify trends.
Collaborate with leaders to identify development opportunities and create tailored growth plans. Deliver leadership coaching to enhance managerial effectiveness.
Conduct Employee Relations investigations with detailed documentation through our case management system.
Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and job aids to align with business and HR processes. Ensure documentation is clear, accessible, and promotes operational efficiency.
Serve as a trusted partner to HR for HR teams, providing guidance and support on HR programs and policies.
Collaborate on initiatives to build a positive workplace culture and enhance internal communication.
Act as a liaison to ensure alignment of corporate culture with field and supply chain teams.
Ensure compliance with employment laws and organizational policies in coordination with other members of HR and legal support.
Guide and support managers and employees through performance appraisal processes.
Provide coaching and tools to address performance challenges and optimize productivity.
Review and analyze turnover metrics to identify trends and recommend retention strategies.
Work with managers to implement retention action plans.
Assist in developing and implementing action plans based on engagement survey results.
It is an essential function of this job that the employee regularly and reliably reports to work on time each working day.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
3-5 years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist capacity. Preferred Corporate and Field support.
Preferred experience handling policies and laws in the state of California.
Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and organizational dynamics.
Proficiency in Workday HRIS, including transaction processing and reporting.
Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
Proven experience in coaching leaders
Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Excel and other data management tools.
Working Conditions
Work is typically performed in an office setting, with occasional travel to field locations as needed up to 10% of the time. This role may be allowed up to one (1) remote day per week.
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods during the workday. Ability to occasionally lift and move objects weighing up to 15 pounds. Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment such as a keyboard, mouse, phone, and copier. Visual and auditory ability to read and interpret information and communicate effectively with others.
