About
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Reporting to the VP of Marketing, you will own the full business development lifecycle, from opportunity creation through deal close, while helping define and execute Riva's growth strategy. You'll work closely with Business Development Representatives, Account Executives, Marketing, and Product teams to drive predictable revenue and expand Riva's presence in target markets.
More specifically, your responsibilities will include:
Own and grow a revenue pipeline, consistently meeting and exceeding quarterly and annual revenue targets.
Drive new business acquisition through outbound, inbound, and account-based strategies.
Lead complex sales cycles from discovery through negotiation, close, and handoff.
Develop and execute territory, vertical, or account-based growth strategies aligned with company objectives.
Partner with Business Development Representatives to guide outreach strategy, qualification, and pipeline development.
Build and maintain strong executive-level relationships with prospects and customers.
Identify, qualify, and prioritize high-value opportunities across mid-market and enterprise accounts.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to align messaging, positioning, and customer outcomes.
Forecast revenue accurately and maintain pipeline hygiene using CRM and reporting tools.
Leverage CRM software and sales tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, Apollo, Clay, AI tools) to manage deals and insights.
Provide market, competitive, and customer feedback to inform product and go-to-market decisions.
Contribute ideas and leadership to continuously improve sales processes, tooling, and performance.
Perform other duties as required from time to time.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management with demonstrated closing success.
Proven experience owning revenue targets and managing full-cycle sales processes.
Post-secondary education in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or a related field.
Exceptional verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
Strong strategic thinking, deal qualification, and prioritization capabilities.
Experience selling to North American business markets with a strong understanding of buyer behavior.
Ability to work autonomously while influencing and aligning multiple internal stakeholders.
Tech-savvy, AI-fluent, and comfortable leveraging modern sales tools to drive efficiency and insight.
Data-driven mindset with strong forecasting and pipeline management discipline.
Goal-oriented, resilient, and motivated to exceed expectations.
Ability to work remotely while collaborating effectively across time zones.
Experience with CRM and engagement platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, Apollo, Clay).
BONUS POINTS FOR
Experience in a global B2B SaaS company, particularly within highly regulated industries (financial services, life sciences, aerospace).
Experience selling into mid-market or enterprise accounts.
Ability to speak and write in a second language.
