We are seeking a certified and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our thriving logistics operation in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse, utilizing various types of forklifts. Your expertise in operating machinery, coupled with a strong commitment to safety protocols, will ensure the smooth flow of goods and contribute to the overall productivity of our facility. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be a key player in our supply chain, ensuring timely and accurate handling of inventory. We emphasize a secure working environment.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach) to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport products to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance issues.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Assist with inventory counts and location verification.
- Ensure compliance with all OSHA and company safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory flow.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Commitment to workplace safety and knowledge of proper lifting techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
