About
We are seeking an organized and efficient Shipping Clerk to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona! This role is crucial for ensuring the timely and accurate dispatch of our products to customers worldwide. You will be responsible for preparing outgoing shipments, including generating shipping labels, selecting appropriate packaging, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining accurate shipping records. A detail-oriented approach and strong communication skills are essential. Working closely with the warehouse and logistics teams, you will help maintain the flow of goods and meet delivery commitments. Safety is a priority, and adherence to all safety guidelines and proper use of PPE is expected.
Responsibilities:
- Process all outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Generate shipping labels and prepare necessary documentation (e.g., bills of lading).
- Select appropriate packaging materials to ensure product safety during transit.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with various shipping carriers.
- Verify order details against shipping information to prevent errors.
- Communicate with customers and internal departments regarding shipment status and issues.
- Maintain accurate and organized shipping records.
- Assist in resolving shipping discrepancies and customer inquiries.
- Operate scanning equipment for tracking and inventory purposes.
- Must be able to assist with lifting packages up to 40 pounds.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related administrative role is advantageous.
- Proficiency with computers and shipping software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods.
