Join our growing team as a Receiving Clerk in Nashville, Tennessee! In this vital role, you will be responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of all incoming shipments. Your duties will include unloading trucks, verifying inventory against purchase orders, inspecting for damages, and properly documenting all received goods. You will play a crucial part in maintaining the integrity of our inventory and ensuring that our warehouse operations run smoothly. Safety is a top priority, and adherence to all safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE, is expected. Responsibilities:
- Accept and unload deliveries from various carriers.
- Compare received goods against shipping manifests and purchase orders for accuracy.
- Inspect all incoming products for damage or defects.
- Document all received items into the company's inventory management system.
- Clearly label and stage products for put-away.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving area.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified).
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Ability to handle lifting of items weighing up to 40 pounds.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role is highly desirable.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and system navigation.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
