We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our bustling warehouse in Boston, Massachusetts. This position is essential for our daily logistics and operations, requiring a proficient and safety-conscious individual to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment. Your primary responsibility will be to safely and efficiently move, load, unload, and store materials throughout the warehouse. You will conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, ensure proper load securement, and maintain a clean and organized work area. Accuracy in moving inventory and assisting with stock management are also key aspects of the role. A strong adherence to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE, is mandatory. The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift certification, demonstrable experience, and a keen awareness of warehouse safety best practices. Experience with WMS and RF scanning equipment is highly desirable. This role demands physical stamina, good spatial reasoning, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team to meet operational targets. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport materials between different areas of the warehouse.
- Perform daily forklift inspections and report maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and utilize required PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock placement.
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Thorough knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Experience with WMS and RF scanning is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and reliable work ethic.
