Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator in Durham, North Carolina, to join our dedicated logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other powered equipment to move materials safely and efficiently throughout our warehouse. Your expertise is critical to maintaining the flow of goods, ensuring accurate inventory management, and supporting shipping and receiving operations. Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials within the warehouse.
  • Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers accurately.
  • Move and stack inventory to designated locations, ensuring proper organization.
  • Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs.
  • Assist with receiving, put-away, and order picking processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and locations.
  • Ensure all warehouse Safety regulations are followed, including proper use of PPE.
  • Identify and report any hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors.
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the logistics operations.
  • Operate other warehouse machinery as needed and when trained.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
  • Ability to perform tasks involving regular Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Extensive knowledge of forklift operation and warehouse Safety procedures.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
  • Commitment to wearing required PPE, including safety shoes, gloves, and eye protection.
  • Ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced logistics environment.
  • Strong understanding of proper material handling techniques.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
