About
Our Salt Lake City, Utah facility is seeking a diligent Material Handler to join our logistics team. This role is essential for the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse, ensuring materials are transported, sorted, and staged accurately and safely. As a Material Handler, you will operate various types of equipment to move products, manage inventory flow, and support both receiving and shipping operations. A strong emphasis is placed on Safety, efficiency, and attention to detail. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with physical stamina and a solid understanding of warehouse operations to contribute to a vital part of the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move, stack, and organize inventory.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes, ensuring accurate placement of goods.
- Stage materials for shipping, ensuring correct orders are prepared.
- Conduct routine checks on material handling equipment for safety and operational efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all Safety protocols.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately to a supervisor.
- Perform frequent Lifting of materials, sometimes weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Wear all required PPE at all times while operating equipment or handling materials.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is required.
- Valid forklift certification is essential.
- Proven ability to operate various material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety regulations and procedures.
- Knowledge of Logistics and inventory flow is beneficial.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting, bending, and standing.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a team.
- Comfortable wearing required PPE.
