About
We are seeking a hardworking and efficient Material Handler for our Atlanta, Georgia facility. This role is essential for maintaining the smooth flow of materials throughout the warehouse, supporting our logistics operations. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and moving materials, ensuring accurate inventory counts and safe handling practices. The ideal candidate is physically fit, possesses a strong work ethic, and understands the importance of safety in a warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming materials and verify contents against purchase orders.
- Store materials in designated locations within the warehouse, ensuring proper organization.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move materials safely.
- Assist with inventory management, cycle counts, and stocktaking.
- Prepare materials for shipment, ensuring accurate quantities and proper packaging.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety policies.
- Wear required PPE, including safety glasses and work boots.
- Follow all logistics and warehouse procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to operate various warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Capability for heavy lifting, up to 60 pounds regularly.
- Knowledge of inventory control principles.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
