We are hiring a Distribution Center Associate for our Richmond, Virginia location. This role is fundamental to our **logistics** operations, involving the accurate and efficient handling of products within our distribution center. You will participate in receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping processes, ensuring smooth workflow and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against documentation.
- Sort and store inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using order pick lists or scanning equipment.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Perform **Lifting** and moving of products, following safe manual handling techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring **safety** compliance.
- Wear and utilize all required **PPE**, including **safety** vests and gloves.
- Follow all established **safety** procedures and report any potential hazards.
- Contribute to the overall **logistics** efficiency of the distribution center.
- Assist with loading trucks for outgoing shipments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including **Lifting** up to 40 pounds regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to wear and use **PPE**.
- Familiarity with warehouse **logistics** is advantageous.
