Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our Madison, Wisconsin warehouse operations. You will be responsible for inspecting incoming shipments, verifying quantities against purchase orders, and noting any damages or discrepancies.   • Receive and unload incoming freight from trucks.
  • Inspect all incoming goods for damage and discrepancies.
  • Verify quantities received against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
  • Tag and label received goods as required.
  • Report any shortages, damages, or overages to the appropriate personnel.
  • Organize and stage received goods for put-away.
  • Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
  • Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in receiving, warehousing, or inventory control is preferred.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting items up to 40 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory software.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
