In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of shipments, managing shipping documentation, and coordinating with carriers. Your primary focus will be on accurate order fulfillment and adherence to all shipping regulations.Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process outgoing shipments, including verifying order accuracy and selecting appropriate packaging materials.
- Generate and affix shipping labels and necessary documentation (e.g., bills of lading, customs forms).
- Coordinate with freight carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and inventory logs.
- Conduct quality checks on outgoing packages to ensure they meet company standards.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse supervisors and other team members.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as receiving and stocking.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and basic computer skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- A strong work ethic and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency in logistics operations.
