Job Summary:
We are seeking an organized and efficient Shipping Clerk to join our team in Durham, North Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the outbound shipment of goods, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper documentation. Your duties will include preparing shipping labels, coordinating with carriers, verifying order details, and maintaining shipping records. A strong understanding of logistics processes and a commitment to accuracy are essential. You will play a vital role in ensuring our products reach their destinations smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and process shipping documentation, including labels and manifests.
  • Verify order accuracy against shipping documents before dispatch.
  • Schedule and coordinate pickups with various shipping carriers.
  • Track shipments and provide updates as needed.
  • Maintain organized shipping records and filing systems.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external carriers regarding shipping status.
  • Ensure that all shipments comply with carrier regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized shipping area, adhering to safety standards.
  • Use appropriate PPE when handling packages or operating equipment.
  • Assist in resolving shipping-related issues and discrepancies to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Support the overall logistics and supply chain operations of the company.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related logistics role is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with shipping software and common carrier platforms.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform tasks involving some lifting, up to 30 pounds.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of shipping regulations and best practices.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
