Secure our nation's borders by detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws.

• Detecting suspicious activities at or near borders
• Pursuing apprehensions of undocumented noncitizens through farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, and transportation checks

1. Detecting and interviewing people under suspicion for breaking immigration rules. This involves surveillance to identify potential violators.


2. Identifying locations where border security is most vulnerable . In order to protect national interests effectively , Border Patrol Agents must be aware of all possible routes that an illegal alien may use.
   Impact:
   This information can then be used in various ways such as planning targeted enforcement operations against known entry points along our country's perimeter. It could also help determine how best to allocate resources when responding quickly enough before losing track.
   The ultimate goal here would obviously remain prevention because without knowing these areas beforehand one cannot fully prevent them from occurring – thus saving lives!
