As a Border Patrol Agent, you will play a vital role in safeguarding America's borders, preventing illegal activity, and enhancing economic prosperity. This position requires strong communication skills, ability to work effectively in teams, and make sound judgments under pressure.
- Detect and question people suspected of violating immigration laws;
- Prevent smuggling attempts by maintaining surveillance from covert positions using various technologies;
- Analyze information rapidly to make prompt decisions; or develop networks with informants for intelligence gathering purposes.
