As a Customs and Border Protection Officer (CBPO), you will be responsible for safeguarding our country's borders, preventing illicit activity, and facilitating legitimate trade and travel.

You will work closely with other law enforcement agencies to identify potential security threats, conduct inspections of people and goods, and enforce customs laws. Your duties may include:

• Enforcing customs laws to prevent smuggling of prohibited goods
• Facilitating legitimate trade by ensuring compliance with import regulations
• Contacting violations of U.S. laws or regulations through inspection activities as part of routine checkpoints operated at ports-of-entry along highways in areas adjacent such ports if required , seizing items without legal documents where appropriate then releasing these same item back upon
