A growing food manufacturing site in Milton Keynes is looking to appoint an Engineering and Facilities Manager to take ownership of site reliability, asset care and facilities performance. This is a senior role with accountability for engineering delivery, compliance and continuous improvement across the operation.

The role

• Take full responsibility for the performance and reliability of all production equipment and site infrastructure.
• Plan and drive maintenance activity to improve uptime, reduce breakdowns and extend asset life.
• Deliver capital projects and equipment upgrades from concept through to commissioning.
• Lead contractor activity on site and ensure all external works are completed safely and to standard.
• Own the engineering and facilities budget and ensure spend is controlled and justified.
• Implement robust systems for compliance, inspections and statutory maintenance.
• Build and develop a high performing engineering and facilities team.
• Identify opportunities to improve energy usage, site efficiency and overall operating costs.
• Work closely with operations and senior management to support production targets.

About you

• Engineering qualification or strong hands on engineering background.
• Experience leading engineering and facilities functions within manufacturing.
• Food or FMCG experience would be advantageous but not essential.
• Strong understanding of UK health and safety, compliance and site services.
• Confident managing people, projects and external suppliers.
