The Customs and Border Protection Officer is responsible for enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Enforcing laws and regulations to safeguard the nation's economic prosperity
- Inspecting individuals, documents, or goods for criminal activity
gathering information regarding security risks, inspect cargo/bags/merchandise
examining devices at ports of entry. - Determining admissibility of people entering United States
ensuring compliance with U.S. Federal laws
The position has a career ladder progression GS-5 - GS-12 grade levels.
You are eligible to advance in your career once you complete each grade level (52 weeks). Promotions are based on operational requirements.,
